The Narwal Freo X Ultra is one of the best robot vacuum and mop combos I've tested. Its base station has an impressive water tank and dustbin, and its double rubber brush is less likely to tangle hair than single bristles.
Its mopping efficiency is impressive and its AI mapping excels in avoiding obstacles. It can also pause the cleaning process, and then resume from where it was when it stopped.
1. Roomba Combo j9+
The Roomba Combo J9+ is a robot mop that doubles as a vacuum cleaner that is among the most sophisticated available. It features a sleek, self-emptying Clean Base that can handle up to two full mopping cycles and is even designed to resemble a small table. It's also the only robotic mop we tested that comes with an onboard water reservoir to automatically wash and refill the cleaning pads after each vacuum and mopping cycle.

The mopping arm is positioned on top of the unit. It lowers when it senses hard surfaces, and then starts to scrub. It moves slowly over surfaces to prevent spreading wet spills or mud on carpeted areas. It does a good job of staying out of the way of furniture, cords and other obstacles.
The iRobot Home App is smarter than many robot vacuums. It lets you customize the settings of your cleaner and also prioritize rooms according to dirtiness, schedule cleaning time and more. The app also provides comprehensive maps of your home, seasonal suggestions, custom cleaning routines, and smart home integrations that are intuitive.

Its advanced mopping features include dual spinning pads and electronically controlled water and a "True Edge" Adaptive Edge Mopping System that ensures a thorough cleaning of all edges.
Navigationally, the M12 makes use of LiDAR and IR to avoid obstacles. Its sensors do a good job of detecting larger objects, such as HVAC vents and furniture. However, they may struggle with smaller objects, like cables and small rags, which may cause the robot to miss spots.
The M12 also has the ability to detect and navigate up stairs thanks to its built-in inclinometer. It can also return automatically to its OMNI Station to dry and wash mop brushes and to refill its water tank. When the batteries run out, the OMNI Station is able to clean itself and empty the dustbin when its batteries are low.
3. Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra robot cleaner is at the forefront of robotic cleaning. It packs a lot of features in a small package. Its mop cleans itself between use, which lowers maintenance costs and helps keep its pads clean. In addition to this the dock sensor that can detect when the mop pad is dirty and triggers washing to keep it clean.
The S8 MaxV Ultra, like its predecessors has an intelligent system that can detect household items like shoes and pet waste by using cameras and LIDAR. It did well in our evaluation of obstacle avoidance, with only one hiccup during my testing (it was stuck while unwinding a ball of wool that was tangled up around its brush arm).
